Two BIG Summaries in the works!

A Tragedy In Texas in 1935......

The year is FLYING by! We are only two months away from the anniversary of the April 3, 1974 Super Outbreak. The Tornado Talk team continues to work on our multi-year project writing about some of the tornadoes from this event. We are planning to write about two big ones over the next couple of months: Guin and Xenia. A research trip in Ohio will be happening in March! We will be writing multi-chapter narratives on both events for our Patreon supporters with free overviews. Learn more about how you can support our work!

In our latest “This Week In Tornado History” Video: A squall line moved through Texas and produced four significant (F2 or higher) tornadoes on February 8, 1935. We take a look at the deadliest twister. It was an F2 that tracked from near Ninevah through Grapeland. Along the 24.6-mile path, 12 people were killed, and 70 others were injured. The Murray Plantation was laid to waste.
